Part of the recovery process is through the support of family members and loved ones.
At Graham Regional Medical Center, we encourage people to visit friends and family members. Be sure to check with admissions or the main desk prior to visiting to make sure your visit occurs at the most appropriate time.
We believe that the love and support of friends and family during a hospital stay is a strong incentive for a patient's recovery, so we encourage visitors, according to the following guidelines:
Visitation Hours in most units (see exceptions below) are allowed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Visitors should be free of contagious infections, such as runny noses, fever, etc.
Babies are in the mothers' rooms during feeding times, usually 9 a.m., 1 p.m., and 5 p.m., and 7 p.m., but many babies remain with mother throughout the day.
Family members may visit at their discretion, including the baby's brothers and/or sisters under the age of 12. Visitation is encouraged during the hours of 2 to 4 p.m. and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Intensive Care Unit
With the permission of the charge nurse, patients are allowed two visitors at a time during the following times: 9-10 a.m., 11 a.m.-Noon, 2 -3 p.m., 5-6 p.m., and 8-9 p.m. Relatives under 12 or alternative visiting times may be allowed, at the discretion of the charge nurse.
All visitors will be asked to leave the ICU in the event of the health emergency of any ICU patient. We will be happy to give regular condition reports to one family representative. Please choose one family member to call 940-521-5400 for reports, identifying himself or herself as the elected family representative and giving the agreed-upon password.
We provide healthy and flavorful meals for our patients, and a variety of appetizing selections for our visitors. A selection of hot entrees and vegetables are offered and selections from the grill. The hospital cafeteria is open between the hours of 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Hot and cold breakfast items are available between 6:30 and 9:00 a.m. In addition, snacks and cold beverages are always available from the vending machines. We also provide FREE of charge coffee and tea. You will be pleasantly surprised at our competitive prices and are welcome to dine here even if you are not visiting a patient!
Two parking lots are available for use by our patients and their visitors. The main parking area is directly north of the medical center and can be accessed from East Street. This lot is most convenient for emergency department, surgical, and radiology patients and their visitors.
The second parking area is most convenient for visitors visiting patients in the hospital. The walk to the patient rooms is much shorter from this parking lot. It is on the southwest corner of the campus and can be accessed from Montgomery Street past the clinics on the right.
